A/N: If the cover doens't give it away, this is a mix of torch songs for Steve to angst about Bucky. And truly, there is sooooo much angst. I love this fic and how it mixes memories of pre-serum/pre-war Steve with present day Steve trying to get Bucky back. Steve is stuck in the past, hoping for a future he can't quite grasp, aching, just aching for Bucky. I love it.

A/N: This fanmix exists because I can't get it out of my headcanon that Blaine is a huge oldies buff. The Elvis dance moves, the greaser prep stylings, the knowing who Tom Jones is, oh honey, let me love you... all of it seems to point that way. But mostly it's just my over-identification with Blaine continuing apace. I listened to the local oldies station almost exclusively as a child, so I know and love the genre as well as if I actually grew up back then. The grand gestures! The schtick! The double entendres! This mix took a pathetically short time for me to create. Musically, the theme here was BRASS, MORE BRASS, GIVE ME ALL THE BRASS, because 1) Blaine is canonically into Tom Jones, man, there's no coming back from that and 2) I giggled to myself every time I thought about how horny Blaine was for Kurt.

According to ~~personal experience~~ popular report, it might even make you fantasize seriously about bursting into a spontaneous musical number.* This is what I like to call a walking post song. Gather enough of these into your iPod, and you are virtually guaranteed to feel like a movie star as you traverse the streets on business of a (no doubt) very important and highly fabulous nature.

A/N: Many, many moons ago, just after season 1 aired, I started working in a Merlin reincarnation!trope mix. It was extremely haphazard and unwieldy. I optimistically thought, "I'll just wait for season 2 and see where the canon takes me with this!" Then season 2 happened, which. Yeah... My enthusiasm for this mix waned as my cynicism grew. Cut to two days ago, when I was cleaning up my iTunes playlists and realized this mix has been gathering dust for so long! Out of laziness and cynicism, I have now stripped this mix of its more overtly Arthurian undertones. I leave you with some songs about love and time and sometimes how hard and sometimes how easy it is to merge the two.
